Natural Ways to Induce Labor

Natural Ways to Induce Labor

If you are reading this because your baby’s delivery is right around the corner, you feel as big as a house and have serious difficulties in sleeping, difficulty in breathing and in moving around and constantly need to use the restroom -- it’s quite understandable that you are looking for natural ways to induce labor. When the pregnancy becomes overdue, most pregnant mothers are eager to try natural labor inducing methods to encourage their baby to be born.

Natural Labor Inducing Remedies

Many natural labor inducing remedies are being used to get the labor and delivery started. Women have long known about natural ways to induce labor, and midwives teach these techniques to conclude an overdue pregnancy every day. Yet even the conventional remedies like Castor Oil and Black and Blue Cohosh used to induce labor naturally can come with risks. In fact, Cohosh increases the risk of severe bleeding during labor and delivery.

With such a fragile thing like giving birth to a baby, you will want to ensure the safety of you and your baby. This is why inducing labor naturally with maternity acupressure is such a popular technique among pregnant women.

Maternity Acupressure points are an Effective Way to Induce Labor Naturally

Acupressure is wildly more recommendable than medical induction, which is ridden with side effects. Using acupressure for inducing labor naturally is totally safe for the mother and the baby and there are no side effects.

Many studies show that acupressure and the Japanese brand of it - shiatsu - induce labor effectively. Actually acupressure is one of the natural labor inducing remedies that has been scientifically shown to actually work effectively.

When a pregnant woman receives maternity acupressure treatments, the baby descends and presses onto the cervix and thus gets into position for labor -- ripening and dilating the cervix and initiating contractions. Additionally, unlike any other natural labor inducing remedy, maternity acupressure is extremely helpful in relieving labor pains. Labor contraction pains are effectively suppressed by Maternity Acupressure without a risk of slowing down the birthing process.

Maternity Acupressure is a Simple Way to Induce Labor Naturally

Today midwives and doctors alike promote maternity acupressure for speeding up a slow labor or inducing labor naturally when the pregnancy is overdue. The women who used this simple holistic method found it either extremely helpful or very helpful in inducing labor at home and/or giving relief from labor pains. Most of the supporting partners reported that this method gave them tools to be truly helpful during childbirth. The frustration of not being able to help the birthing mother is common among fathers and other supporting care-givers, and thus this hands-on method gave them a way to actively be part of the unique life event. Additionally, many birthing mothers were amazed, at how effectively their inexperienced partners were able to induce labor, control the pain and help them with many other accompanying discomforts, just by using simple Maternity Acupressure techniques.

I think acupressure is a great way to induce labor. I'm surprised more people don't know about it.

I tried everything, Castor Oil, Rasberry Tea, 2 Fresh Pineapples, SEX, Nothing Works.!!!! im 40 weeks pregnant!! and nothing worked.. so i say when the baby is ready to come then the baby will come

I am due with my second child in about 2 weeks, and I tried castor oil, and evening primrose oil... And nothing is working! My first pregnancy I had started having false labor pains and used castor oil. Ironically I had my son 2 days later. But I think it was a coincidence. If you think it will help you try it, but I would stick to the acupressure. That seems to be working good. Good luck everyone!

i used castor oil with my daughter and it worked within 24 hours! it wasnt very much fun having to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes but she was born!

hey ive got 4 days till my due date and im really anxious i ate a whole pineapple and nothing happened.

danielle 3 years ago

pineapple has a chemical in it that helps u dialate it doesnt cause contractions but if ur r using something to cause u to have contractions u need to make sure u have softened and dialated some because that can apparently cause problems when u havent

rubyann 19 months ago

all of yall are putting ur babies at risk by trying to induce your labor not to mention yourselfs dont u want to have a healty normal baby? child birth is a looooong natural process why would anyone want to put their babies at risk? talk about selfish let ur babies out when its thier time ur going to spend the rest of thier lifes wanting them back in

cheyenne 13 months ago

ok that sounds great but guess what my friend wasn't able to to enjoy her son at all her son stayed in too long and died she had to have a c section watch them pull her dead son out and because he died inside her she got a infection and had to have a historictame so if u are from 36 to 40 weeks do ur thing oh my friend was only a month over due

Really?! 13 months ago

Wow there are some really messed up people in the world...being impatient while ur still pregnant and complaining to get them out! Wait until you have a baby who wants to be fed, changed, held and the only way they can communicate is crying, obviously u didn't think this thru before you got pregnant and are being selfish. And if any dr lets a woman go a month over their due date they are an idiot..max over is 2 weeks if not just 7-10 days for the health of the baby!!

red bed 13 months ago

wow seriuously i mean these woman are going crazy and they should be it is thier last month im a guy and i would be going more than crazy these women have a right to want t induce their labor after 9 uncomfortable months why shouldnt they want to get to see what them and their loved one created together let them feel stop being an asshole if ur a girl in which i doubt have another baby and see how it feels again good luck ladies

Audrey 12 months ago

Im on my second child and think that wanting to go into labor early is natural. I was 3 weeks early with my son and now Im 2 weeks away from my girl and nothing, Ive tried everything but castrol oil cause I just cant stomach that. If you are far enough along their is nothing wrong with nautrally inducing yourself hince why they call it natural.

hi im 4 days overdue and was just reading the comments personaly i enjoy being pregnant.but im finding it harder to sleep does anyone have any sugestions to help sleep better.oh and to all the girls that are dying to go into labour i heard if you take a warm bath it raises your core temperature and could put you into labour not sure if its true though.i dont know why yous are all going mad to get the baby out most of the comments are saying that yous arent even term yet. i think yous are mad.i love being pregnant and i love waiting untill the baby is ready and then meeting her.this is my second and on my first i was 9 days overdue. she means the world to me and was well worth the wait.

Ariel 10 months ago

all of you bein all mean and uptight...STFU!! people dont read these to get bitched at, if you cant answer their questions stay out of it. im at 37 weeks and my doc said my baby could come any day, without a problem, so i came on here to see what i could do to help him along, not to hear a bunch of hormonal ladies going crazy.

audra 10 months ago

i agree. if you are wanting to induce you labor that is your business. I DO! and just because im being impatient with my little man doesnt give anyone the right to tell me that im wrong for wanting to see his precious face, ESPECIALLY after nine long months! so if you dont have an answer for these ladies who are ready to spend time with their little ones, dont say anything!

Hi, im 30 weeks pregnant. Im extreamly high risk, I was told if I go full term I could lose my son, or we both can pass. As of now my dr. Feels like my son is really healthy but on the other hand im not, I was trying to find stories like mine. This is my third child and very scared. If anyone should be complaining it should be me. I hope the best for all you mothers to be, but put your self in someone eleses shoes... you might be uncomfortable but at least you n the baby are healthy. The baby will come when he/she is ready. Good luck if your ob feels like you need to have baby early they will get him/her out when the time is right.
